Wigmore’s Report

The match, hosted by Wigmore on Sunday 17 May against visiting Norbury Park, started at ten o’clock with the sun shining and finished at around 2pm, with the sun still shining!

There were some very close matches with the women’s open singles being particularly hard fought; as was the men’s doubles which was the final match of the day.

The Under 16s match was unique in tournament history in that Ella Redfern played Edmond Lewin so special thanks to them for taking part.

Even when the scores indicated an easy victory the matches tended to have good rallies and nothing was as easy as it may have looked.

All matches played in a great spirit and thoroughly enjoyable to watch.

Many thanks to all who played – looking forward to the next one!
